We started by completely removing all the components to the bare chassis.

Then we stripped off all the paint. This took a long time. We were too stubborn to go take it to get sand blasted. We also took off all the sissy bars. The 2 on the right side were shaped funky and I would keep hitting my elbow on it. (Which I'm sure would really hurt during a race). The 1 on the left wasn't bent at all and made it very difficult to operate the clutch and to shift. We stripped it completely then fabricated new sissy bars.

We then decided to start fitting parts on it. We did that before putting another powder coat on it in case when needed to fabricate anything else along the way. (Which actually ended up happening.)
