Day 3 of 2016 Rebuild

I have removed the coolant hoses from the motor. I noticed crud in them and didn't want that in my new radiator. I also removed the shift cable linkage since it doesn't seem very reliable. I will be finding a way to make it a direct shift.I mounted the panels around my cockpit and the panel which holds my electronics. (Most of which are being converted at Hyper Racing from street use to racing use. Get rid of blinkers and what not).

I am still unsure of what to do about my air intake. I can order a new one for around $250, or I can try to fabricate my own. I may try to tackle this tonight when I get home.

Day 1 and 2 of 2016 Rebuild

This is taking longer than I want since I am currently working 12-14 hour days 7 days a week. However, I am still dedicating an hour or 2 a day to finish this. April 2nd is my deadline. There is a show and shine I need to attend that day.

I have gotten my powder coating done from ORF Powder Coating and Fabrication. They did a perfect job on it! I got the engine put on it, but I stripped one of the motor mount locations so I will have to get a tap and die set to fix that....ugh...

After a trip to Lowes the next day the guy sold me a metric and SAE tap and die set. I came home to fix the mount and realized the guy was wrong and it was only metric. Shame on me for not double checking....back to Lowes.

Once I got back with a full set, I was able to fix the mount and mount the engine properly. As you can see I also mounted the seat and floor panels. I also mounted the seat belts. It's hard to see, but I also mounted the brake master cylinder and the pedals.

I want to do the axles, however, I need to take the front axle to ORF Powder Coating and Fabrication to get a jig made up so I can make my own front axles and get it powder coated while I am there. The rear needs 2 more torsion bars. They must wait until payday. I will be calling Hyper Racing about getting those.

New Sponsor! ORF Powder Coating and Fabrication

I would like to welcome ORF Powder Coating and Fabrication on board as my newst sponsor!

They will be taking care of my chassis and anything I make brake this year. I am very excited to have them as a sponsor.

They have already done an amazing job with a fresh powder coating on my chassis.

ORF creates roll cages for Razor off road vehicles. If you are wishing to have one created, I have seen their work and I would highly recommend them. They also do just about any kind of custom fabricating you may need.
